The Mental Health Association of Franklin and Fulton Counties (MHAFF) was founded in 1959 by a group of concerned citizens, parents, self-advocates, and friends. As a result of their hard work and advocacy on behalf of mental health and substance use, many changes have occurred to improve our service system, improve the treatment of individuals receiving services, reduce stigma associated with mental illnesses/substance use disorders, and improve the quality of services provided.

Through direct services, advocacy and awareness events, satisfaction and research services, training and education opportunities, MHAFF continues to promote wellness and recovery in Franklin and Fulton Counties.

MHAFF is a local affiliate of the Mental Health Association in Pennsylvania (MHAPA) and a member of the Pennsylvania Association of Nonprofit Organizations (PANO).
